Samir, I have been reading your articles and a very interesting read! I am still tempted to do an MBA but first I want to focus on what do I do with it.

Anyway, getting back to your question - what do I do. My role is as a Project Manager but we do not use conventional methods (as found in PRINCE 2) because a lot of my customers do not understand the principles. My role starts as an assistant for sales, I do surveys, sales drawings, sales proposals and let the potential customers know all of the service requirements and enabling works that may be required. After the sale I am then involved with managing the project all the way through to after installation. The downside comes from me telling the interested party that this is for industrial laundry equipment and that is when most people tend to switch off or back to themselves! It does however appeal to those that like 14 tonne washing machines that can wash 35, 50, 75 and even 100kg of linen every two minutes or a dryer that will dry 120kg of towels in 15 minutes and that includes loading and unloading! Plus anyone that likes cranes with six axles and have a ten axle support lorry with a hundred tonnes of ballast! Well I suppose I do or I would not do it......for now anyway!

Vijay
Warwick is a great place to do an MBA. You have to asked why you want to do it. Despite what people say, it is very difficult to switch industries. The experience is awesome and you will meet some amazing people from all over the world. It is costly but you will get the money back but must take a long term view.

Hope this helps!
